Mozilla had tried to stand up to Apple's insistence that all third-party browsers be built around its own WebKit engine, but in the end caved in to produce this app. Its Firefox web browser currently accounts for under 10% of the desktop browser market, but it’s made strides to develop mobile apps to provide its userbase with a cross-platform alternative to Chrome or Safari. Mozilla has rebranded itself the 'non-profit champion of the internet', and is making the case for independent developers. I did try Script menu, then Voice Over, then Time of Day and that worked.In a browser market increasingly dominated by behemoths like Microsoft (Edge) and Google (Chrome), Firefox remains the outsider’s choice. I can still launch all of the profiles from about:profiles within my main Firefox profile, but it's annoying as it involves a lot of scrolling. I tried re-saving one of the scripts as an app it didn't fix anything. I have not made any edits to the profiles or the scripts, nor have I moved them in at least the last month. They launch and quit immediately, where before they launched and quit after a brief delay and then the profile launched. Today, after installing 14.2.1, the first time I've attempted to use those scripts today, they don't. Yesterday, the scripts worked to launch the profiles. I've been using these scripts for several years, and when I add a new profile, I just copy an existing one, change the script to refer to the new profile, and export it as an app. I've written Applescripts to be launched from the script menu in the menu bar to open the the additional profiles, one script per non-main profile.

I have my main profile, and several others. I have multiple Firefox profiles for different websites. I'm not a developer, just someone who likes to play with AppleScript when it's something I do often that's inconvenient. And today, after installation, my scripts stopped working. I am running Script Editor 2.11 with AppleScript 2.8. Today, Apple released Sonoma 14.2.1, which I have installed.
